CFSE ANNOUNCES NEW AUTOMOTIVE SAFETY APPLICATIONS SPECIALTY

The Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE) Program has introduced a new Automotive Safety Applications specialty. The Automotive Safety Applications program applies to personnel who implement safety related systems in automotive applications. This specialty also focuses on the understanding and proper application of the ISO 26262 standard, as well as relevant areas of IEC 61508.
“The importance of competency in safety engineering is clearly understood but can be hard to demonstrate,” says Chris O’Brien, member of the CFSE Automotive Advisory Board and partner with exida. “For more than a decade, the CFSE program has been the choice of industry to evaluate functional safety competency in a thorough and unbiased way.”
