Emerson DeltaV DCS AND SIS System Wins the 2019 exida Cyber Award

exida, the global leader in functional safety, cybersecurity, and alarm management for the process industries has presented Emerson Automation Solutions with the 2019 exida Cyber Award for their DeltaV DCS and SIS System .
The DeltaV distributed control system is an easy-to-use automation system that works to simplify operational complexity and reduce risk. As a part of the DCS, Emerson’s Safety Instrumented System (SIS) continuously monitors the device’s status and diagnoses possible threats throughout the functional safety lifecycle. This modern approach not only increases safety integrity, but simultaneously works to improve process availability.
Emerson was chosen for the exida Cyber Award in the system category for its successful adherence to the IEC 62443 standard and innovative approach to the common risks involved with IACS systems.
