exida Establishes Foothold in Australia

The global leader in functional safety, industrial cybersecurity, and alarm management for the process industries, exida, today announced the establishing of a local office in Brisbane, QLD, Australia.
“exida has been very active in Australia over the last two decades, we have formed many good relationships with customers of our products, training, and lifecycle services. To increase support for our customers in all their functional safety, industrial cybersecurity, and alarm management needs, we determined that a local office was paramount”, says Iwan van Beurden, CTO and Director of Product and Service Development at exida. “We are extremely excited to announce that Sam Holden is joining the exida team to be the exida Australia Operations Manager & Principal Safety Engineer.”

Sam is the Australian representative for the IEC 61511 committee and the chair of IT-006 (TC65 mirror committee) for Standards Australia. He brings more than 20 years of industrial experience in functional safety from both a theoretical as well as a practical background. Sam has worked on many projects within the petrochemical, refinery, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, and chemical industry.
