Title: Meeting NFPA Requirements for Programmable Based (PLC) Burner Management Systems
Today’s safety logic solvers are embedded in the same platform as control. Can a Burner Management System (BMS) utilize this technology and maintain the proper independence? This discussion will center around NFPA 85/86/87 and ANSI/ISA 84 (IEC 61511 Mod) in the context of how they pertain to existing, new or modified Burner Management System installations for compliance with these updated standards.
