Faster, Better FMEDA – Using ARCHx to Get Needed Input Information

Recording Date: October 2024

After many years of experience at exida, we still see FMEDA projects going overbudget with schedule delay. The main reason is often lack of needed information needed to finish the FMDA task. We started using the functional FMEDA approach some years ago as that method deals with changes, updates, and new designs much better than the old direct approach. However, to really get things done on budget and on schedule we started using an information tool, ARCHx. This information can be gathered as part of a modified DFMEA which we call DDMA but can also be done independently. This webinar describes the functional FMEDA approach, lists the information needed to do this type of FMEDA, and shows how that information can be optimally gathered / documented.
