FMEA – Instant Failure Modes
Recording Date: October 2023
Over the last few decades, the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) design verification technique has shown its value by finding problems/issues early in the development process. However, some FMEA procedures have become quite complex and time consuming. Engineering managers in some industries challenge the value of an FMEA versus the cost in hours consumed. An FMEA can become even more valuable if total engineering hours are reduced. What is needed is a “Streamlined FMEA.” This webinar will discuss past FMEA experience, identify issues that consume engineering hours, and describe potential solutions with a Functional Architecture Design FMEA example.
